Guarantor Information

A guarantor, usually a parent or guardian, is a person over the age of 25, residing in the US, who agrees to be financially responsible if you are ever unable to fulfill the financial obligations of your housing license. If you are unable to provide a guarantor, a deposit in lieu of guarantor in the amount of $500 will be required, payable to your MYCSUSM Account. If you are under the age of eighteen (18), a parent or legal guardian is required to serve as a guarantor and to grant permission for you to live in CSUSM Housing. A security deposit in lieu of a guarantor is not an option for students under 18.
