8th Grade Graduation Dance!

Who is invited?: All 8th Grade Graham students in good academic standing are invited. There will be games, photo opportunities, music, dancing & celebrating with friends! Appetizers, desserts, and drinks will be provided, but please eat dinner beforehand. Dress code and behavioral standards apply.

No 8th grade parent is allowed to chaperone or attend event.

 

What is the cost?: The suggested donation is $30 per student before May 17th ($35 after).  We want every eligible student to attend regardless of their financial situation, so please email patron.amanda@gmail.com if you need a scholarship.  A signed permission slip must be returned to the Graham office, or signed online, for student to attend. Please make checks payable to “Graham PTA” with a memo of “8GGP” written on the check. Permission slips, checks and cash donations should be turned in to the Graham office to the attention of Amanda Patron by Friday, May 24th, 2019. We want every student to attend regardless of donation amount!  No tickets will be sold at the event. 

Important Dates:

  • Before May 17:  Permission slip and suggested donations of $30 are due
  • After May 17:  Suggested donation $35 per person
  • Friday, May 24:  All Permission slips and payments are DUE- Last Day!
  • Friday, May 31:  8th Grade Graduation Dance

It takes many hands to make this party a success.  Please volunteer for some prep, set-up, or clean-up.  You can see all of the available jobs here.

By signing below, you give permission for your child to attend the 8th Grade Grad Night Party on May 31, 2019. Students must be picked up by an adult by 10:15 pm.  You may only sign if you are the parent/legal guardian. *

Schedule: Students can arrive between 6:45pm and 7:30pm and should be picked up by 10:15pm. Parents are invited to take pictures at the entrance. Please enter the school at the front, follow signs and drop students off at the back of the school (one-way). Students will not be allowed to come and go during the party, and may not leave before 10:00pm.

Dress Code: For this celebration kids are encouraged to dress up nicer than what they normally wear to school, so long as their attire is consistent with the school dress code.  For example, nice jeans, shorts or slacks and dress shirts or other shirt with a collar are appropriate for boys.  As for girls, outfits could include special occasion (but not formal) dresses, skirts or shorts that come down past their fingertips but no spaghetti straps or strapless tops please. Dress comfortably!  School dress code listed here.
