Important Information about Gunn School

First Day of School:  Wed. August 9th, 2023  
Attendance will be taken for all classes. Reporting an absence: if a student is going to be late to a period or will miss one or more periods, the parent or guardian should email Gunn Attendance.  Visit the Gunn Attendance webpage for more information.

Chromebook Program: The school provides a free Chromebook to all students who want one, for use during their four years at  Gunn. Chromebooks do not need to be returned at the end of the year.

Textbook and Supply Distribution: The first week of school textbooks are handed out by grade. A make-up distribution will be scheduled if you cannot make your allotted time.

Additional Services:
  • Social services help if you, or someone you know is struggling with housing issues, or needs extra support because of housing, PAUSD has a social worker LuLu Skafi who can help you.  Here is the L.E.A. Housing form you fill in, in english and spanish, which you can then email to Lulu, or go to the office at Gunn, and they can print one out and help you get it to her.

DreamCatchers (.pdf) is recruiting Gunn student tutors for the fall to provide remote after-school tutoring for Palo Alto middle school students. Visit DreamCatchers to learn more or to donate to help close the equity gap.
