STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAMS

FONTYS ACADEMY FOR THE CREATIVE ECONOMY (NETHERLANDS)

JMC Academy offers the opportunity for students to spend one trimester abroad at Fontys University Academy for the Creative Economy (ACE) in Tilburg, Netherlands. As part of the exchange, JMC Academy receives Fontys University ACE students in February each year.

The JMC exchange students study alongside others from around the world as they undertake subjects offered by the Fontys ACE. Students receive subject credits that are the equivalent of one full trimester of study. All subjects are delivered in English at the Tilburg campus.

This opportunity is open to Entertainment Management, Animation, Game Design, Design (Visual Communication) and Film and TV students who have completed at least two trimesters of study at JMC. Places are limited to three students per exchange.

ESCUELA UNIVERSITARIA DE ARTES TAI - TAI SCHOOL OF THE ARTES (SPAIN)

JMC students will undertake one full-time semester load at TAI Artes, which is equivalent to one full-time trimester at JMC Academy. Units undertaken at TAI will be determined on a case-by-case basis, subject to course, trimester level and availability. Students seeking to transfer credit for their TAI studies to their JMC degree must successfully complete units on the personalised learning agreement in order to be awarded credit for the corresponding JMC units.

For this semester, the program is available for bachelor degree students from Design and Music students only. Students must have completed at least three trimesters of study at JMC Academy prior to commencing the exchange program.

All classes will be delivered in SPANISH. The recommended language level is Intermediate: B1-B2 of CEFR* in order to meaningfully engage with classes. While most TAI teachers and students speak English and may assist with some translations, the classes are in Spanish and the student needs to embrace the
challenge of learning in this language.
