Racial Equity Support Initiative (RESI)

REVIEWERS - SELECTION COMMITTE APPLICATION

OVERVIEW OF THE REVIEW PROCESS

  • Reviewers in the Selection Committee will participate in 2 to 4 cycles (2 Cycles is 1 year = Spring and Fall applications). The awards cycle occurs twice a year beginning May 1 and October 1, with the goal of announcing recipients by the 31st of the month.
  • Reviewers will receive orientation and training about the process for review, expectations, and timelines for completion.
  • Reviewers will provide recommendations about the applicants for the award. Priority is given to those applicants who are close to reaching their credential goal and to those who have a clear plan for consultation and utilization of EMDR therapy in their setting.
  • Reviewers’ comments about the process are encouraged and particularly valuable to shape the RESI program and continue its development.
  • A final decision of the acceptance to the RESI program is based on the recommendation of the group of reviewers.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a current EMDRIA member
  • Must be able to focus on the EMDRIA Foundation goals and objectives while setting aside personal or individual professional interests.
  • Must be supportive of the EMDRIA Foundation, what it stands for, and what is attempting to accomplish.
  • Must have a clean record of ethical practice in good standing, free of legal ambiguity.
  • Must show an interest in supporting the goal of the program of increasing leadership in the BIPOC community.
