AACT Governing Board:
President-Elect Self-Nomination Form

Thank you for your interest in serving AACT in a leadership capacity!  We appreciate your dedication to the community. 
 
The AACT governing board is composed mostly of K–12 teachers of chemistry, including a President-Elect, President, and Past-President. Please note that in order to serve in this capacity you must:
  • Be an AACT member.
  • Be a current or former K–12 teacher of chemistry.
  • Be available to participate in an on-site leadership meeting in Washington, DC in July. Exact schedule TBD. Travel and lodging will be provided by AACT.
If you are interested, please complete this form no later than May 1, 2023. All self-nominations will be reviewed by the AACT Nominating & Awards Committee.  Only three nominees for this position will appear on the ballot as candidates.

About the President-Elect Position

The President-Elect must be a practicing or former K–12 teacher of chemistry.  They will serve a three-year term (2023–2026) as part of the presidential succession; 2023–2024 as President-Elect, 2024–2025 as President, and 2025–2026 as Immediate Past-President.
