Special Funding Request Form

Please use this form to request funding from the AMS Chapter Activities Fund, Study Group Activities Fund, or Guest Speaker Fund.

Chapter Activities Fund - The Chapter Activities Fund provides partial support for chapter activities and programs. Requests of up to $500 and no more than 50% of total costs will be considered. Awards are made semi-annually. Applications for the summer award cycle are due by August 1 (decisions by September 1). Applications for the winter award cycle are due by January 15 (decisions by February 15). Chapters cannot receive funding more than once in a twelve month period.

Study Group Activities Fund - The Study Group Activities Fund provides partial support for study group activities and programs. Requests of up to $500 and no more than 50% of total costs will be considered. Awards are made semi-annually. Applications for the summer award cycle are due by August 1 (decisions by September 1). Applications for the winter award cycle are due by January 15 (decisions by February 15). Study groups cannot receive funding more than once in a twelve month period.

Guest Speaker Fund - Committees and Study Groups may apply to the Guest Speaker Fund to help fund guest speakers from outside the field of musicology to participate in sessions at the AMS Annual Meeting. Grants of up to $1500 will be considered and may cover travel expenses (airfare, meals, lodging, etc.), and speakers fees or honoraria. Guest speakers may also be given complimentary conference registration if requested. Applications are due by January 15 (decisions by February 5).
