We have many different opportunities within PTA for you to help at school. Your participation is essential in order to allow PTA to offer enrichment programs at Parkmead and to keep PTA vital.

We encourage you to help this very important organization at Parkmead. There are many areas where we need volunteers for targeted times and specific jobs. Please review the list and help out where you can -- there are jobs for all -- big and small.

Welcome Kinder Picnic (August):
Organize kindergarten "Welcome to School" picnic prior to school starting.

Organize or help at the family event (type to be determined) which happens during the Scholastic Book Fair.

Reflections (September - November)
Encourage the arts at school!! Help coordinate Parkmead's participation in the the National PTA's art showcase program. Work with the art and classroom teachers to promote participation, work with PTA council to have entries judged, display entries and recognize participants. We have a parent signed up to co-chair - she needs a helper.

Drive in Movie Night (TBD):
Help event chairs coordinate Drive in Movie Night - family event where the children can make cars out of cardboard boxes and come watch a movie with their family. A fun and easy to plan event.

e-Scrip (All year):
Promote and increase e-Scrip participation in the Parkmead parent community. This is an easy and very important fundraiser for the PTA.

Community Coordinating Council Representative:
Attend the monthly CCC District wide meetings and report information back to the PTA membership. These meetings discuss information important to all schools in the Walnut Creek School District and are a great way to learn about what is planned for the future.

Coordinate drinks and snacks for the monthly PTA meetings. Assist Honorary Service Awards coordinator with food and drink for this event.
