Remote Travel & Tropical First Aid Training
Thank you for your interest in Global Support Service's Remote Travel & Tropical First Aid Training. The course will be held May 7th-8th, 2014, and will be split into AM & PM sessions. To complete the course, you must attend one session per day. While this training is not an official certification course, you will receive a course completion card at the conclusion of the training. This training is strongly recommended for those planning to travel to remote and high risk destinations, as well as to countries with limited access to medical care.

The course will cover the following topics: Overview of Patient Assessment System - Tropical Medicine - Safety and Sanitation - Tropical Diseases (Types and Common Symptoms) - Bites and Stings - The Human Animal - Heat Illness - The Principles of Managing Head Injuries - The Principles of Managing Spinal Injuries - The Principles of Managing Cardiothoracic and Abdominal Injuries - The Principles of Managing Musculoskeletal Injuries - Fractures & Splinting - Building a First Aid Kit
