TYPE OF GRANT BEING REQUESTED: (If requesting both, each must be applied for separately.) *

Benevolence Fund Grant – Small seed grants to enhance the work of local congregations and faith-based groups working cooperatively within the greater Indianapolis area.  The purpose of this grant program is to support projects that will increase and strengthen relationships and the sharing of resources, stories, and cooperative ministries among congregations, their related groups, and the wider community.Priority during this grant year will be on projects focusing on community stability, crime prevention and/or mitigation, and peacemaking. (Made possible by a grant through the Lilly Endowment) 

Hunger Fund Grant – Small grants to fight hunger in your immediate and broader community.  (Made possible by a grant from Church World Service based on funds raised by the Greater Indianapolis CROP Hunger Walk)

Faith-based and religious groups as well as community service groups must partner with a local congregation to be eligible for a grant. 

Agent must be 501 (c)3 tax exempt church; tax exemption documentation must accompany this application.

The Federation has organized the city into Quadrants Plus One based on Washington St. east and west, Meridian St. north and south, and a distinctive Downtown area, with each being in conversation with congregations, service agencies, and the wider community both to share information on local efforts and to develop collaborative efforts. Has someone from your quadrant/area of the city been in contact with you to include your project in these conversations? *
